Sharif is one of the founding partners of Forum Law LLP, practicing primarily in corporate/commercial law. He graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (with First Class Distinction) and obtained his Juris Doctor in 2016. Sharif was called to the Alberta Bar in 2017.
